Medical concierge in Buenos Aires

Many of the best doctors in Buenos Aires don't work in English. You should still be able to see them.

We're MEDA — a medical concierge service in Buenos Aires. We find the right specialist, arrange everything, and come with you, so language stops being the thing that decides your care.

The thing you've been postponing

There's a consultation you've been putting off. Probably more than one.

You're not postponing it because it doesn't matter. You're postponing it because explaining it — in a language you half-speak, to a stranger, in a room where you can't tell if you were understood — feels worse than the problem.

Argentina has world-class private medicine — surgeons, oncologists, fertility specialists people travel for. Most of them work in Spanish.

Who we are

MEDA coordinates around 500 consultations and studies a year in Buenos Aires.

This is the part we're best at. We've been in those rooms hundreds of times. Nothing you say will be new to us, and nothing important gets lost between you and the doctor.

You don't have to explain it well. You just have to start.

What you actually get

A full workup, not the basics.

Not one consultation and a blood panel. The consultation, the studies the doctor orders, the follow-up where someone reads the results properly, and the next step after that.

Someone who stays for the whole thing.

Not an interpreter you book by the hour and never see again. We're with you from the first message to the final result — for weeks or months, however long your case takes.

Every piece of paperwork handled

Referrals, orders, insurance authorisations, prescriptions, results that never arrived, the clinic that isn't answering the phone. You don't chase any of it. We do.

Real prices, before you commit

The same study can cost three different amounts in three clinics ten blocks apart. We check. You won't be quoted a foreigner's price and accept it because you didn't know better.

Find out what's possible, and save time

We can't invent a slot in a doctor's agenda that doesn't exist. What we can do is find out quickly, know who to call, and come back to you the same day with the real options — an earlier date at another clinic, a cancellation list, or an equally good specialist who can see you next week. You'll always know where you stand and what the alternative is.

A list gives you a name

You're probably in one of the expat groups already. Or several. The recommendation threads, the reviews, the "does anyone know a good GP?" posts. They're genuinely useful, and often the right first step.

They also stop in the same place every time: with a name. And that name comes from the small share of doctors who happen to practise in English, reviewed by people whose situation isn't yours.

Argentina has world-class private medicine — surgeons, oncologists, fertility specialists people travel for. Most of them work in Spanish.

We are not a list either.

We start where the list ends

We don't have a directory. No doctor pays to be on it, and no doctor gets recommended by asking us — it happens after colleagues we trust vouch for them, and after we've seen how they work with our clients.

When we recommend someone, it's because we'd send our own people to them.

And we don't hand you a name and step back. We tell you why this doctor for your case, what to expect, and we're still there when you walk out.

If you've been leaning on a friend

Maybe someone has been helping you. A local friend, a partner, a colleague who speaks Spanish. They've called clinics for you, sat in on a consultation, explained what the doctor meant.

They've been generous. You can probably also feel what it costs — and you may have started leaving things out so you don't have to ask again. That's not a good way to manage your health. Hand it to people who do this professionally, and go back to just being their friend.
